Could it be Spring?

There was beautiful blue sky and the temperature was 58 degrees (F) in the afternoon.  After a few morning errands, I ate the lunch I’d packed at Petrovitsky Park and sketched my view from the car.  The grass on the baseball field was being mowed so I had my first Spring scent of fresh mowed grass.

A county Sheriff pulled up next to me, got out, walked around to my car and glanced in.  I suddenly got a bit nervous though I was, of course, doing nothing wrong.  He walked on by over to the park restroom.

Then I drove around the area and discovered a small lake I never knew was there.  On the dock at the boat launch were two men fishing.  The view of Mt. Rainier was perfect.  What a beautiful spot!

Hi Kate! Would be great to see you at Urban Sketchers Vancouver sometime! I know about that great workshop with Frank and Gail, but I will be on a trip then. Thanks for all your positive comments on my blog. I love your sketches above, you really caught the green water. Washington State is so beautiful.
