There have been several sketches posted to the Urban Sketchers flickr pool depicting inauguration preparations.  So far, none from the actual event have appeared, but it’s early yet.

I commemorated the day with my own sketch, done here in the other Washington (the State).  I watched it on TV and used the TIVO to pause it long enough to sketch the swearing in.

President Obama is sworn in for his second term on MLK Day

Behind the First Lady is her brother, sporting a black and orange scarf in the colors of the Oregon State Beavers, where he is head basketball coach.  I made sure to include that as I have a friend who both attended there and is a staff scientist at OSU.
