Aunt Mary

My cousin sent out an email to alert us that Aunt Mary may be approaching the end of her long life.  I thought of her all day, as a result.  I did this page of sketches from photos of her at various points in her life.

and only a couple minutes after I published this, I received word from John that she has died.  😦  RIP dear Aunt.

I’m very sorry for your loss, Kate. What a loving way to honor her life — beautiful sketches.

Beautiful sketches. Her funeral was beautiful. I had three of the girls from “The Pines of Lapeer” that cared for her the three years and Jean, her hospice nurse, take up the offertory at her funeral.
