Sketchy afternoon

After errands and a routine dental appointment in the morning, I enjoyed the beautiful weather by sketching most of the afternoon.  I’ve nearly completed my series of Renton public art.  These are the sculptures that are outside or easily reached.

Stiltwalker was the one I couldn’t find a couple months ago!  Its head is literally in the tree.  This was completed in 1984 by Ray Jensen and is in the park behind Renton Library.

I attempted Equi (designed by Alicia Fairbairn in 1988) but I just didn’t have the patience today to follow all those lines.  I might attempt a subsection on another day.

So I went back to the Piazza to sketch “Summer Breeze”  It is by J. Demetro and was dedicated in 2003.

Strathmore Large watercolor Visual Journal (9×12); Daniel Smith watercolors, Lamy pen with Carbon Black ink.
