Sumner garden

Frances, Rom and I met for this morning for more planning about Urban Sketchers Tacoma.  I’d asked Rom to bring his sweet dog, Zoe, again so we could sketch her for the global Urban Sketchers weekly theme on flickr.  Didn’t work as planned.  She is such a friendly dog that when she saw me looking at her, she took that as an invitation to come over to be petted.  No sketch done.

After the meeting and lunch, Frances and I went out to sketch in Sumner.  She took me to a couple garden centers that would make excellent venues for sketch outings.  We stopped to sketch at one of them.  This is at Windmill Gardens    Fortune was with me as a small dog plopped down in the path to enjoy a brief spot of sun.  So I sketched him right into the painting!  Weekly theme accomplished.
