Tacoma’s 2nd sketch outing

Tacoma Urban Sketchers had our 2nd ever Sketch Outing today around Union Station in Tacoma.  The Museum of Glass hot shop tower as seen through the arch of the Museum of Natural History was a popular subject.   I wanted to sketch that, too but elected to sketch a section of the UW (Univ. of WA) Tacoma campus.  I did a bit of collage, pasting in the UW banners from my photo.

I then did a quick 20 minute sketch of the Tacoma Light Rail Union Station stop.  I liked the partial gear that decorated the stop.

As usual, we met, dispersed and then met again 2.5 hours later to share our sketches.  It’s a good start.

Our next outing is 17 August at the Museum of Glass.
