Japanese Garden and more

It was another fine summer day for a sketch outing.  The “Friday Sketchers” of Seattle Urban Sketchers met at the Seattle Japanese Garden.  It was beautifully serene with the relaxing sound of the running streams.

I made a circuit of the garden to decide on what scene to sketch.  There were so many possibilities.

As usual, we shared out sketches and the posed for a group shot.

Back row:  Kate, Gordon, Peggy, Frances, Susan
Front: Natalie, Rosemary, Lynne, Peggy, Tina

A man had purchased some fish food.  These fish demonstrated the meaning of feeding frenzy!

After the sketch outing, Frances and I went to check out the Renton River Days Art Market and the location of our “Artist in Action” tent for Sunday.  I had to see the River Days duck display.  “Will” (Commander Riker of Star Trek) had to be my favorite!

I also saw my friends in the SCA at their community info booth.  My Arms are displayed on middle right of the banner, above the chair! (Per Pale, Gules and Sable, a Pale between two harps Or…..I also have an augmentation of Arms which is the Badge of the Kingdom of Caid, but that may be too much heraldry geek for the average reader!)

All the photos of the day are here.
