Renton River Days

I was invited by the Renton Arts Council to be part of “Artists in Action” in the Art Market of the Renton River Days.  I decided I would make it an ad hoc sketch outing and an information display for Urban Sketchers.  Unfortunately, it’s a busy time of year and only two of us could make it.  But I put together a display anyway.

Frances sketching and talking about Urban Sketchers with a visitor to the tent.

The display about Urban Sketchers included a poster, books, and sketchbooks.

We also had a “What’s in your bag?” display of sketching kit.

Fortunately, it was a cooler day than those previous.  Being a Sunday morning, there were not many visitors through the event.  We did talk with 2 or 3 artists who expressed much enthusiasm to join us in future.
