Field Sketching workshop

I attended a workshop yesterday.  Carleen Zimmerman taught Field Sketching through Seattle Audubon at Carkeek Park.    Her main points:
1.  Is this a sketch moment?
2.  Tools… will this fit in my pocket?
3.  Place… where am I?  Adding the sense of place to the sketch
4. Time…  planning the sketch to fit the time

She mixed didactic presentations with field sketching sessions around the park followed by discussions about the sketches.  It was an excellent experience.  I like and admire Carleen’s style and she is an excellent teacher.

Carlene discussing a point

I’d recommend anything she offers in the future!  I may be biased as I consider her a friend who I met through Seattle Urban Sketchers.  I’ve come to enjoy her company on
sketch outings!

I did three sketches

Can you find all the sketchers? There are 6.
