If, dear reader, you do not live in Seattle, perhaps you are unaware that the football team, the Seahawks, are in the playoffs for the Super Bowl. I’m not particularly a football fan but I have been noticing all the “12th Man” flags.
That’s a tradition here that the noisy, supportive, fans are the “12th Man” on the 11 man football team. Because of the playoff game being played here in Seattle, there are flags all over. After seeing two of them this morning, one at Boeing and one at the Museum of Flight, I decided to find a couple more and then do a journal page.
I live in Renton where the Seahawks have a training facility. The lower right is just one of many homes in town displaying their pride.
The newpaper has lots of photos of 12th Man flags and other ways of showing support.
As I finish writing this, I just heard the Seahawks won. So that will mean more sketching opportunity.
