Mall sketching

I’m making an effort to get out to sketch, even though the weather is chilly and wet.  Today it was easily warm enough to sketch outside even but in the car it was quite comfortable.  It’s about 45 degrees.

The old Auburn Supermall has been renovated and has become the “Outlet Connection”.  I decided to go down there to see what it was like and whether there might be anything to sketch.  Well, yes there was!

I drove the entire perimeter.  This theater has been there since before the renovation.

I then went in and walked around. I was most interested in sketching the Merry-Go-Round.  It was also there before the renovation.

It would be worth another trip as there are a few more scenes that would be interesting to sketch.  This play area being one.

The halls are really wide. And empty on this Monday afternoon.
