Oddity

After an early appointment, I drove around looking for something to sketch.  My plan had been to drive through The Landing shopping area, looking for 12th Man flags.  I only found one and it was on the Boeing plant, looking much like one I’d already sketched.

I explored north of there on a street on which I’ve never been.  It parralels Coulon park and Lake Washington.  I think I found the Renton Seahawks training facility.

I drove through some interesting neighborhoods.  And then I saw this.  In the front yard.

What is  this?  It looks like an over sized birdhouse.  Is it an unusual play house?  Do they own and house a pterodactyl?  Does Big Bird live here?

In Victorian times, it might be called a “folly”.

I wish someone would have come by while I was drawing it.

What a find! Another oddity for the list.

I think someone has a lot of time on their hands! Maybe there’s a back door for a cat—kitty condo?

  3. Looks a bit like an owl house we used to use, but probably a bit low to the ground for that. Otherwise, don’t know. ???
