Sketchbook Project visit

I went in to the Seattle Central Library to see the Sketchbook Project mobile library  of hundreds of sketchbooks.  It is on a nation wide tour.  It was in Portland just yesterday.

I didn’t actually get to see a sketchbook as I immediately started talking to people sketching and the librarians when I arrived at 2:40pm.

Then the SP trailer closed at 3pm.  The staff in the SP trailer would let me look at one book as they were closing up.  I asked for Tina’s and it had been checked out.  That meant it was on the shelf for re-filling so staff wouldn’t be able to find it for me!

I barely had time to rough in a sketch of the mobile library.

Closing time.

People looking through the sketchbooks they’ve checked out of the mobile library.
