Space Suit

This Russian Sokol pressure suit belonged to Dr. Lu, who wore it during his launch aboard Soyuz TMA-2 in 2003.

Dr. Edward Tsang Lu served as a NASA astronaut for 12 years, 206 days of which were spent in space.  In his third and final spaceflight, ISS Expedition 7, Lu became the first American to serve as the flight engineer aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft.

We have entered the slow period at the Museum of Flight.  I was able to sketch this in between interacting with visitors during my shift.  This suit is in the Space Gallery.
