Dawn and spacesuit

I started the day early by taking the light rail to SeaTac airport.  I wanted to see whether the pre-security areas would make for a good sketch outing for the group.  Probably not.  I took some documentation photos but didn’t sketch.

As I returned to the Tukwila station where I’d parked, I noticed this view of the mountains in the distance.  Though it was about 9am, there was still a bit of dawn color in the east.

Next I went to the Museum of Flight to sketch at the new exhibit about spacesuits.  I’ve chosen the suggested theme of “astronauts” for my Sketchbook Project book and I wanted more sketches for the book.  Unfortunately, there was only one full spacesuit in the exhibit.  The rest are parts and photos.

I was amused by the message on this tire cover, seen in the Museum parking lot.

There are a few more photos here.
