Fort’s Kitchen

The global Urban Sketchers flickr pool weekly theme is kitchens.  After finishing my shift at Fort Nisqually today, I took a few minutes to sketch the stove in the kitchen building.  The day had turned sunny and it was about 55 degrees.  The stove was not fired up so it was a bit chilly in the building.

I also showed the the Curator the period watercolor sketching kit I’ve been developing to use as an interpreter.    He gave me the go-ahead.  I may post some about it later.  I then spent about an hour and a half in the Fort’s library doing some reading and research on that project.

  1. I’d bet if that was heated it would feel really good here since it is so cold. You did a great sketch of it!!
