First Farmers Market of the season

Today was the opening of the Renton Farmers Market for the 2015 season.  Just as the vendors were probably setting up, there was a huge downpour.  By opening time, though, the rain had abated.  It threatened the entire time I was there but I did manage to get in a sketch with just one or two drops from the sky.

The Market has wine tasting now.  There are several on the list of vendors but only saw two today.

The market is held on the piazza in the center of down town Renton.

Kate, I could see the rain on your sketch (gray clouds). A stop for wine tasting was the right choice under that kind of weather. Bravo! 🙂

I think that’s what our farmers markets should have. lol You could get an entire picnic lunch and enjoy. Nice sketch of the vendor’s tent and table.
