New kit bag

I haven’t done any sketching in over a week!  It feels wrong.  I’ve been busy catching up on other projects and participating in a couple other hobbies.  But I’ll be back to sketching this week.

Leslie Fehling is an artist whose “Everyday Artist” blog I follow.    I might have missed it the first time around, at the end of August, but looking around her blog a couple weeks ago, I found this post about a large pencil case used to keep all her sketching tools in one place.

I thought I’d give it a try.  Right now, I have my supplies in 2 cases plus various pockets in my backpack.  I think having almost everything in one place will make on-location sketching easier.

Here is the empty bag.

Here it is full of my supplies.  I couldn’t fit my palette and watercolor pencil tin in it but that’s OK.

I did try to edit what I carry and took out a few small items.

Next stop:  to set up my coroplast board like this!
