Monday to the Olympic Peninsula

We left Monday just after lunch (Oct 12) for our short get away to the Olympic peninsula beach at Kalaloch (pronounced “clay-lock”).  It rained much of the drive there but once close to our destination, it stopped.

He drove and I did one bit of a sketch from the passenger’s seat. This was somewhere on Hwy 101. Once we were in the Olympic peninsula, most of the drive looked like this, with the 2 lane road framed by tall conifers.

After we were settled in our room, we went out to walk the beach in front of the resort. It was sunset.  Here is Himself.

We love Klaloch and the Olympic beaches, especially this time of year. I hope you also made it to La Push and Rialto beaches. A great choice for an autumn sojourn.

Great idea for a getaway! Love the passenger seat sketch!
