The Mountain is OUT

Got to the Black Diamond Bakery at just about opening time (0700).  Though their food is very good, the best thing about the restaurant is the view.  The back wall is actually a massive window, looking south to Mt. Rainier. When it is clear, as it was this morning, the view is spectacular.  Our phrase is, “the mountain is out”. And it certainly was today!

Later in the day, Himself had a followup appointment.  While I waited in the lobby, I sketched this little family group.  Turned out they were waiting for a young woman, probably the sister, who came out from the clinic and then they all four left.

  1. Love the sketch of the restaurant looking toward the mountain! I like the inclusion of that foregrounds.
