More social, less watercolor

The Urban Sketcher bus arrived for Social Watercolor at the Daniel Smith mothership today!  I brought Feather & Carolyn with me.  PeggyH, Kathleen, April and Ujjwal also came!  That makes 7.  There were also other people there, which made it the best attended social I’ve been to yet.

Had a good time being social.  Didn’t paint much.  PeggyH suggested three paints to try right off the bat:  Cascade Green, Shadow Violet and Rose of Ultramarine.  Turns out I already have the latter in my palette.  So I played with the other two.  Then Jodi showed how to drop water into a partially dry wash to create beautiful, salt-like effects!

“So much color . . . so little time”.  Indeed!
