Fish Heads

Today I joined another sketching group. They are mostly students of a local watercolor teacher. I heard about them from Susan P. who sketches with Urban Sketchers (USk) Tacoma. She got me on their email list, which is their only communication method. They sketch only near the suburban Seattle city where I live so it’s very convenient as I don’t have a long drive through difficult traffic.

This morning’s outing began at 10 am at The Great Wall Mall, a large Asian shopping center.

Then they met at noon at a restaurant to share lunch and the morning’s sketches. They seem to pick the next outing by consensus. It’s a very pleasant group and I’ll join them again, when I’m not sketching on Fridays with USk Seattle.

I built a montage of sketches in and around the 99 Ranch Market. The Saturday Night Live ditty, “Fish Heads” was in my head. *

* “Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads, fish heads, fish heads, eat them up, yum…”
Be careful, it’s an ear worm! The song but not the original SNL bit.
