About

I’ll mostly be posting about my adventures in Urban Sketching.  There may be the odd crafts or photography post.  Mostly, though, photography goes on SmugMug.

Why “Red Harp”?  One of my long time hobbies has been my involvement in a medieval recreation group.  Within that group, this is my badge.  A badge is used to label one’s belongings.  It has also been my maker’s mark when I made scrolls (calligraphy & illumination).  More than that, it symbolizes my Irish heritage (the harp) and my rank in the group (the coronet over the harp).

More recently it has become my brand logo.

  3. Lovely! (And isn’t reenacting delightful? I do a somewhat later period, but such fun.)

I would love to know how you make the Turner wallet pallet. I too have been asked to do reenactment for Civil war but can’t see the wallet well enough to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Red Harp. I happened upon your drawing of astronaut ‘Joni Mitchell’. I designed that one. Love her and fun to see your work / impression of her ( at Starfire sports) 🙂
